How do we relate to health and healthcare? What roles do social media, influencers, and the abundance of online information play? During Dutch Design Week (DDW), we focus on thought-provoking dilemmas in an interactive video installation called 'Caring is Sharing.' Artist Hendrik-Jan Grievink created a 'digital roundtable discussion' in collaboration with Fontys Centre of Expertise Health and Máxima MC. Will you join the conversation about (your) trust in information about health and healthcare?
The installation presents a continuous video where various characters share their dilemmas about trusting communication around healthcare and health. The central theme is the influence of social media and healthcare influencers. Characters (such as a doctor, nurse, patient, and even a naturopath) discuss how they deal with incorrect or overwhelming information and what this means for their trust in different sources.
Visit our installation at the Embassy of Health The video installation is part of the Embassy of Health and can be found from October 19 to 27 at Ketelhuisplein (the large greenhouse) in Eindhoven. The Embassy of Health brings together healthcare, design, science, and technology. More information can be found on the DDW website.
Collaborating for innovation in health and healthcare Máxima MC and the Fontys Centre of Expertise Health are proud of their participation in 'Caring is Sharing.' Together, we focus on innovation in health and healthcare. We explore how the power of design contributes to redefining health and promoting a healthier society. Through collaboration, we strive to continuously push boundaries and rethink what it means to give everyone a fair chance at a healthy life.
